Sunday, 23rdDec, 2018is a day that will linger on the lips of Lagos concertgoers for months to come. The King “Baddo” unlocked a new level of stage craft as he headlined Day 3 of the Flytime Music Festival with“OLAMIDE LIVE”.
Hosted byUshbebeandFunny Bone, the concert began with amazing performances by rising talents such asStreet Billionaires, King Perryy, Barry Jhay, Dapo Tuburna, Oladips, andChinko Ekunwith‘Able God’ who all elevated the spirit of the crowd.
The newest memebers of the YBNL family were also introduced;Limerick, Lyta, Davolee, Fire Boy, Picazzo, Yomi BlazeandTemmie Ovwasaas they all delivered beautiful renditions of their various tracks.
Celebrity OAP and hypemanDo2TUNcame on stage and introduced the man of the moment “Olamide” who emerged wearing a mask. Accompanied byDj Enimoneyand the awesome choreographers who created a unique dance routine for every song, Olamide connected with his fans like never before as he dished out live renditions of his rich catalog packed with nothing but hit anthems.
Other performers of the night includedReminisce, Timaya, PhynoandNaira Marleywho was joined byLil Keshto tear up the stage with their hit single, ‘Issa GoaI’. Each performance saw fans screaming and singing along as they stood atop their seats to get a clear view of the electrifying show the YBNL boss presented
As if this wasn’t enough, Flytime decided to daze the crowd with a surprise performance of the hit track“Kana”asOlamideandWizkidperformed the song on stage for the FIRST time, and the reception was out of this world. Wizkid went on to perform some of his hit songs like‘Ojuelegba’, ‘Fever’, ‘Fake Love’and‘Soco’.
Olamide Live was a heavy reminder of not just his position as the king of the streets but also his position as one of the most talented musicians of this generation.
Plans for the 2ndEdition of the Flytime Music Festival have already begun. The dates to be saved are20th21st& 22ndof December 2019. If you think the 1stEdition was awesome, get ready for a bigger & better experience.
